ST ANDREWS MUSEUM

The St Andrews Museum opened in 1991 and it is now managed and operated by Fife Cultural Trust on behalf of Fife Council. On the ground floor, the permanent exhibition shows an A-Z of the town’s history. On the first floor is the Kinburn Gallery, where four changing exhibitions are displayed each year, this year being dedicated to “Treasures of the Kingdom: Fife’s Decorative Heritage Unearthed”. An Activity Room used for learning and events is placed next door.

DIGIT

Dig It! 2015 is a year-long celebration of Scottish archaeology. From kids taking over museums, and people exploring the story of their own local area, to digs, festivals and competitions, there are so many ways to get involved. We will be exploring our past through song, art, performance and storytelling. It will be exciting, fun, grassroots and messy – just like archaeology and archaeologists.
